🎭 COSTUME CHARACTERS

Seeking strong physical performers to portray costume characters in a live, family-friendly themed entertainment environment. Costume characters rely entirely on body language, movement, and gesture to communicate emotion, intent, and story. Performers must be energetic, expressive, and comfortable engaging with guests while maintaining clear character consistency.

CASTING SPECS

• Must have been approved during the Dance Audition to be considered for Costume Character callbacks

• Height requirement: 5’0” – 5’2” (required for all costume characters)

• Physically capable of sustained movement and performance in full costume

• Comfortable performing in warm conditions and enclosed costumes

• Able to safely support and control costume heads weighing approximately 10–15 pounds for the duration of a performance

• Able to perform multiple shows or sets daily with consistent energy

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Prior experience as a costume character or in movement-based performance is preferred, but not required.

• Strong physical awareness and body control

• Ability to take and apply direction quickly

• Experience in theme parks, live entertainment, dance, athletics, or physical theater a plus

• Clear, readable physical storytelling

• Strong character movement and silhouette awareness

• Ability to communicate emotion without spoken dialogue

• High energy with controlled, intentional movement

• Consistent character portrayal from entrance to exit

CALLBACK AUDITION FORMAT

During callbacks, performers may be asked to:

• Wear costume components (including heads) to assess fit, movement, stamina, and overall performance suitability

• Learn and perform short movement combinations

• Demonstrate character reactions using only physical expression

• Interact with imaginary guests or children

• Take live direction and make adjustments in real time
